Kathy Montgomery began her equestrian career over 25 years ago, specializing in the Hunter/Jumper/Equitation realm. She has trained both horses and riders to local and national awards. She began competing as a junior, successfully showing her mount and showing other people's horses. She has also competed in Dressage, Western and Quarter Horse shows. Traveling across the country to compete in shows, she has had the good fortune to work with top trainers such as, Anne Kursinksi, Todd Minikus, Hap Hansen, Robert Dover and many others. Everytime she has worked with these different trainers it adds to her knowledge, which she is able to share with her riders in lessons and clinics.


Laura Huff

Laura has been teaching in Fort Collins for over 30 years and riding as long as she can remember.  As an instructor, Laura wants her students to have fun first and foremost.  She encourages her students to become the best riders they can be without sacrificing their happiness.

• Rocky Mountain Dressage Society:
• First Level Champion
• Second Level Champion
• USDF: Placed 3rd Nationally for Thoroughbreds
• NCDA Fourth Level Champion


Beth Nielsen

Beth Nielsen has a Bachelor's degree in Equestrian Studies from Lake Erie College. She is a full time faculty professor there in Equestrian Studies and Coaches the intercollegiate team there. Beth Nielsen trained the winner of Medan and Maclay Finals, Lauren Boss, in 1996 and 1997 as well as found Lauren her horse, Grappa. Grappa won the Medal and Maclay Finals six times. She rode in and trained many National Champions, and went to “indoors” and Devon. Beth Nielsen has been a USEF “R” judge for 30 years in Hunters, Jumpers, Hunt Seat Equitation ad Hunter Breeding. She still judges as wells as offers clinics throughout most of the USA.
